When you call The Demo Coach, here is what will happen:

You will speak directly with Nathan or Claudio—principals in the company. We will ask you a few questions to gain a better understanding of your organization and goals. We will want to know how you are positioning your product and where it will be demonstrated.

If you are calling for help with DEMOfall 08, we'll make sure you'll speak to Nathan , winner of two DEMOgod awards. He will help you understand what it takes to give one of the most important demos of your life.

If you are calling for help in training your team to give power demos, we will want to know the number of people you want trained, their current demo experience level, and the specific roles they play.

Once we are clear about your desired outcome, we'll discuss with your executive team concerning who should be coached. We primarily train sales engineers, application engineers, account managers, marketing staff, and product managers because they are the ones doing the actual demos.

The Logistics

We'll then discuss how to invite the people who need to be at the coaching sessions, where to hold the sessions (typically at your location and online), what the training room should look like, and what kind of technical infrastructure we require.

About one week before the workshop, your coach will meet with each attendee online. Each participant will be asked to present a brief online demo, which will be recorded. This activity will give us the needed insight into your current approach and begin the process of improving the effectiveness of your demos.

The Workshop

Our workshops are fast paced and highly interactive. Each participant gets to demonstrate in front of her or his peers several times during the day, and all exercises are designed to make learning fun and exciting.

bigstockphotoLittleGoldenStudentGivingT1821250flippedSpecifically, here's how the day will look: After a brief introduction, we'll start out with a fun exercise to open minds and get everyone into a great learning mind-set. We'll then explore what makes a great demo and how participants can use these best practices in their own demos. Armed with this knowledge, participants will spend the majority of the day applying it and starting to practice the delivery of their new power demos.

At the end of the day, all attendees will have had several opportunities to present and refine their demos and to develop their personal style for maximum effectiveness.

We schedule an additional online session with each attendee about one week after the workshop, giving your team an opportunity to show off the improvements made since the workshop. It will also give us an opportunity to verify that we have reached your desired outcome and make any final recommendations if needed.
