The BluePrism Speakers Bureau
Welcome to your personalized speaker coaching!
To prepare you for our live workshop in Austin on June 20-21, 2019, I need you to complete the following two tasks.
For those who couldn’t join the Webex recording on Friday, May 17, it can be heard here:
Task 1: Watch this TEDx talk before the workshop
[Effort = 18 minutes]
The Start with Why concept was popularized by Simon Sinek in his TEDx talk: How great leaders inspire action. Even if you have viewed it before, please watch it again.
Task 2: Send Nathan a recent video.
I need to see you in action for 5-minutes or longer. Please send this to me no later than Tuesday, June 18, 2019 midnight PST.
Why? This video is for me to get a baseline measurement of your current platform skills before we meet in Austin. The video should be recorded within the last 6-ish months. I need to see you more than your slides.
Here are 3 ways you can send me your video:
Send me a link to your video on YouTube or Vimeo.
Send me a link to your video on Dropbox or some other cloud storage.
Send me your video file using www.WeTransfer.com, a free service for up to a 2GB file.
Question: What if you don’t have a recent video?
Answer: You need to record one!
You can use a video-conferencing tool like Zoom to record yourself or try this:
Use your smartphone to record yourself doing a presentation using the free Marco Polo app available from your friendly app store.
To record yourself, find a room at your office and present one of your favorite topics to the camera as if it was your audience. You can simply place your smartphone on a tripod or shelf. With Marco Polo, once you press Stop, I will receive your video automatically. No upload needed. My Marco Polo address is: 15105798530.
If you have any questions or need to contact me, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at +1.510.579.8530. Thank you in advance for completing these two items. I look forward to meeting you in Austin and helping you become a more accomplished speaker.
"Have you ever seen one of those presenters that just nails it, from content and delivery to audience engagement? Nathan builds that by taking ideas and very complex technical concepts and turns them into extremely compelling and engaging presentations. His style is warm and helpful as he teaches the compilation, techniques, and delivery methods to elevate any discussion into a true and compelling stage presence."
