Pre-Work: Your Curiosity Spark Kit
Prepared by: Nathan Gold, The Demo Coach
You’re about to meet someone fascinating…
Yourself.
In ~15 minutes, you’ll uncover compelling parts of your story that even you may have overlooked. This isn’t about polishing a sales pitch; it’s about finding the words that make audiences, large or small, lean in and say, “Tell me more.” By the time our workshop begins, you’ll already have a spark that turns introductions into connections and connections into opportunities.
Tip: Please do this before we meet. I recommend doing it over a weekend or after hours with your favorite libation because it’s meant to be fun!
Exercise 1
Discover Your Compelling Narrative
Export your LinkedIn profile as a PDF or copy everything from your profile to your clipboard.
Go to NotebookLM → Create a new Notebook.
Upload your PDF or paste your profile text into “Copied Text” and click Insert.
In the right-hand Studio panel, under Deep Dive Conversation, click Generate.
After ~5 minutes, listen to the results.
Create an intro script (< 60 seconds) as if you were introducing yourself on a podcast or to someone you just met at a networking event.
Make multiple versions for different audiences if you wish.
Exercise 2
Curiosity-Boosting One-Liners
Open ChatGPT. → Create a new Chat.
Add your LinkedIn profile PDF or copied text to the chat.
Prompt example:
“Take this data about me and create 10 powerful, memorable, and fun similes or analogies to describe what I do, aimed at someone who doesn’t know me yet. These should spark curiosity and invite follow-up questions.”
From the results, select 1-2 of your favorite one-liners.
Think conversation starters, not summaries or pitches.
