Startup Boards by Brad Feld

Workshop Pre-WoRK (~30 minutes)

“Boards don’t have to be pretentious. They don’t have to be stuffy. They really are a part of the development and growth of your business. From this series, you’ll get a real sense of how to configure and create a board in a way that’s really additive to the culture of your business.” — Brad Feld

In this series, Brad, entrepreneur and early-stage investor, provides valuable guidance on how to establish a board of directors who will be there to support you, direct you, and call you out when you fall short.

Homework (~10 minutes)

As you watch this, please take note of the things he mentions that either validate or invalidate your thinking. We will discuss your findings in the workshop. Please come to the workshop prepared to take a deep dive into the topic, along with any other questions you want to bring up.

N.B.: What if you can’t find the time to watch this video series and complete the homework before the workshop?

Not to worry! There is still hope for you. You can be more informed before you attend the live virtual workshop by clicking the button below and listening to an audio summary of the entire series:

Monthly Workshop

The workshop is on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST, sharp, for 90 minutes. We will begin by sharing your takeaways from this series on a volunteer basis. No one will be put on the spot. This is a safe learning and sharing environment where you can simply listen in. You might learn a thing or two or help someone else.

N.B.: The video below is a recording of the workshop. Feel free to review the content because we talked about some really compelling issues and questions.

Monthly Office Hours

Thursday, MAY 22

Leandro and Nathan will hold virtual office hours on the fourth Thursday of every month from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM CST. We will use the same Zoom room monthly, as noted in the calendar invitation below. While these office hours are optional, please consider this time as your time to ask questions and offer comments and feedback while listening to what others ask and say.

N.B.: Katy has already sent out calendar invitations for the office hours with Zoom details. If you have not received that cal invite, use this link: https://zoom.us/my/nathangold
